Array Services Group Sponsors Community Room At St. Cloud Library

St. Cloud, MN, April 2009 - The Array Services Group, headquartered in Sartell, has made a commitment to donate $75,000 to the “Library Plus You” capital campaign for the St. Cloud Public Library. The capital campaign helps fund technology, books and other materials for public use at the library.

As part of the campaign's appreciation for the gift, a community meeting room on the lower level of the library has been named the Array Community Room. The room has a seating capacity of 37 and may be reserved for public use by contacting the library at 650-2500.

“I was just amazed and excited when I took a tour of the new library and saw what a wonderful resource it offered to the people of this community,” said Array CEO Jim Christensen.

Array is a multi-service call center that provides third party account receivables management, billing and debt collection to a wide range of clients, with special expertise in areas related to health care. It has approximately 400 employees, most of them from the St. Cloud metro area. The donation to the library ties into Array's corporate citizenship program that focuses on the areas of health care, education and community service. “I hope the community takes advantage of the new library that's been made available to them because it is a phenomenal resource; it's awe inspiring,” Christensen said.

Library use in the new building is running about 70% above last year, said Diane Vosen, the library's Coordinator for Communications and Fund Development. The library is supported primarily through county funds, but the recession will make it difficult for the counties to respond to increased usage. “Gifts such as the one from Array make a vital contribution to filling any gap between supply and demand,” Vosen said.
